Automatic translation function appeared on Ukrainian Telegram channels

After the last update in the Telegram messaging service, the automatic translation function appeared on public channels in Ukrainian.

This was announced by Telegram CEO Pavlo Durov on his Telegram page, Ukrinform reported.

“We know that Telegram has become an important source of information from Ukraine and we hope that the tools we provide will help inform more people and save more lives. To make it easier for journalists around the world, the broadcasts of all public channels in Ukraine are now always default offers a translation button, “Durov commented on the latest updates to the service.

He also said that last weekend Telegram introduced users to a host of updates and tweaks. Especially from now on, messenger will support more languages for translating messages.

As reported, 32.5% of Ukrainians trust the government’s official sources of information, and more than 25% trust news sites and Ukrainian national and regional media.

This is evidenced by the results of an all-Ukrainian online survey conducted by the President’s Office on April 9-11 by the Ukrainian research panel “Own Thought”. According to the survey, Ukrainians chose television, social networks and Ukrainian news sites among the most popular and useful information channels.
