Here is the latest Valve report showing the hardware and software preferences of Steam users. The November 2022 Steam Hardware and Software Survey found a significant increase in Windows 11 market share and a corresponding decrease in Windows 10 user numbers.
According to Valve, Windows 11 on Steam is experiencing one of the most significant user influx since its launch. The November 2022 report shows that Windows 11 grew by 27.98%, +4.61% over the previous month. Windows 10 lost 3.31 points to settle at 65.60%. One possible explanation for this increase is the release of the Windows 11 2022 update and its gaming-related features (however, Microsoft has blocked access to some updates due to confirmed performance degradation).
Windows 7 64-bit remains the third most popular version of Windows on Steam at 1.88% (-1.71%), while Windows 8.1 64-bit is fourth at 0.41% (+0.01). is located. 32-bit Windows 7 closes the top five with a meager 0.11% market share.
