GMK NucBox 10 It is another mini-PC with x86 architecture, with a shape similar to that of the small Intel NUC models (remember that the Extreme is much bulkier), but with AMD Ryzen 5000 technology at the processor level, so we find integrated graphics RX Vega 8 instead of RDNA 2.
Compared to other similar mini-PC models, the GMK NucBox 10 stands out with its blue-grey chassis, which gives it a distinctive look compared to many of its competitors. Its dimensions are 12.45 x 11.18 x 3.81 centimeters and its weight is about 339 grams.
When it comes to a processor that acts as the brain and heart of a machine at the same time, it is a AMD Ryzen 7 5800U with eight physical cores, sixteen threads, 1.9 GHz base frequency, 4.4 GHz maximum clock frequency, 4 MB L2 cache, 16 MB L3 cache and configurable TDP between 10 and 25 watts. What integrated graphics include RX Vega 8 technology, which should be taken into account if the intention is to use this device to play some relatively heavy video games. There is currently no record of GMKtek making the jump to Intel Alder Lake or AMD Ryzen 6000.
Regarding the memory, the user will find 16GB RAM along with 512GB capacity for data storage in SSD format, PCIe 3 interface and in the M.2 2280 format. The user can expand the capacity of the GMK NucBox 10 up to 64 GB of RAM and has four M.2 2280 slots with PCIe 3 support for data storage of up to 2 TB. A microSD card slot is also included.
As for the connection, it has two HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, four USB Type-A 3.2, one RJ45 connector for 2.5Gbps Ethernet, 3.5mm headphone jack and reset button. Wirelessly supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled as an operating system, and its base price is about $600.
