The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced that he will open the representative office of the Ilona Maska project in the country from the Starlink satellite internet. Previously, the company provided terminals for network access to Ukraine. They helped protect infrastructure during the conflict.
Fedorov said that he almost immediately asked Ilona Mask to provide Starlink to Ukraine. In a week, the first 500 terminals in the country with free firmware for Ukraine. Currently, more than 10,000 stations help the Armed Forces stay in touch, supporting the operation of critical energy and telecommunications facilities, healthcare facilities and more.
According to Fedorov, Starlink has started work on opening a representative office in Ukraine. “On my own behalf, I have instructed the relevant authorities to complete the necessary procedures for the certification, measurement and allocation of frequencies as soon as possible,” said the Minister.
