OUR slideshow successwhether live or online depends on a number of factors, ranging from graphic design to the amount of information placed on each of the pages.
A good tip for presenters is to use multimedia resources to grab the audience’s attention. So today we will teach you how to add audio, video, and even animated GIFs directly to your Google Slides presentation.
Google Slides (Presentations) is part of the Google Docs application suite and is A completely free alternative to the traditional Microsoft PowerPoint. It can be accessed directly from the browser and allows you to create complete slideshows that can be shared online or offline.
Here’s how to work with media in Google Slides presentations.
How to Add Audio to Google Slides
To add sound to your Google Slides presentation, the first step is to open the toolbar. If it is hidden, press the “Esc” key on your keyboard. Then follow the steps listed below:
- Step 01: Select the option “Insert” on the menu
- Step 02: Click on the option “audio”

Now just select an audio file directly from your Google Drive. Unfortunately, Google Slides only allows you to embed audio files in WAV or MP3 formats via Google Drive.. So, don’t forget to upload the desired file to the Google Drive folder of your choice.
