WhatsApp: How to use the same account on two different phones

O whatsapp finally allowed its users to use the same account on two different phones.

The novelty is part of version 2.22.25.8 for beta users and will allow you to link an account on two devices. android, be it smartphones or tablets, where the QR code scanning option must be enabled to complete the process. The implementation is very similar to using WhatsApp in Window or mac.while your smartphone will remain the main device, and the rest – additional.

Learn how to use the same WhatsApp account on two different smartphones.

The update allows you to include tablets as secondary devices, but there is a little trick to trick WhatsApp into enabling your smartphone as a second device. Follow step by step below:

  • Check and make sure your main smartphone has WhatsApp beta version v2.22.25.8 installed and fully working. You must have this version to continue. If you are not a beta user (which can be updated through the Play Store) and still do not have access and want to install, you can access version 2.22.25.8 at apk mirror🇧🇷
  • Now, on the secondary device, enable developer options in the main Android settings. Go to Settings > About Phone and tap “Build Number” a few times until a pop-up appears saying “You are now a developer” (depending on your system, the build number may be located elsewhere in settings);

  • Still on the second device: Go to Settings > System > Developer Options > Minimum Width. Use the search option if you can’t find it. Write down the current number (need to come back later) and change it to 600. This will turn your phone interface into a tablet interface. Fonts and icons will become smaller, but you can return to the original size later;
  • In this step, you install WhatsApp v2.22.25.8 on the second device;

  • Launch WhatsApp, select your language, click “Agree” and continue and you will be able to see a link on your phone screen with your unique QR code. If the page being displayed is one that asks for a phone number, then the fake tablet trick didn’t work. Go back to the minimum width and enter a larger number;

  • Go back to your main device, open whatsapp, tap the floating ? in the upper right corner, then Linked Devices > Link Device. This will open the QR code scanner. Scan the code that was displayed on the second device. And that’s it, the magic happened! The second device must download WhatsApp with the same account as your primary device;
  • If you don’t like the “tablet interface” on your secondary smartphone, just go to Developer Options > Minimum Width and go back to the original value you noted down (as we indicated above). WhatsApp will remain linked to your account.

Now you have two mobile devices with the ability to manage the same WhatsApp account. Both receive and send messages, calls, start chats and everything else. The only difference is that only the first device can unlink the account in use.

Please note that this feature can only be used on Android devices.
