A video appeared on the network in which the humanoid robot CyberOne from the Xiaomi company plays drums. The IT Home portal drew attention to this.

In the video you can see how the robot uses pedals and drumsticks. At the same time, the android turns its head to create the feeling that a real person is sitting behind the device. Developers reportedly loaded music tracks into the robot’s memory, then created a code that allowed CyberOne to move its limbs and create a rhythm. The main challenge was getting the android to play continuously without touching their hands in the process.

While the work manages to hold the rhythm, many reviews were unimpressed by CyberOne’s performance. “Drummers, don’t mind your business for now”– said one. “It keeps the rhythm but there’s no soul in it”– reached another agreement. “He needs to relax a bit. He’s too tight”– one of the users made a joke.

CyberOne was first introduced in August 2022. The manufacturer of the robot, represented by Xiaomi, said that it does not plan to launch sales of the first model, as it is a prototype and will be too expensive for buyers. However, Xiaomi plans to use CyberOne as a research platform in the field of robotics.
