Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its work for TEKNOFEST, which will be held in Samsun between August 30 and September 4 this year. Information houses affiliated with the Youth and Sports Services Department will compete with 4 teams at TEKNOFEST this year.

AT TekNOFEST SAMSUN

TEKNOFEST, the aviation, space and technology festival organized in Turkey by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, will be held in Samsun this year. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has started preparations for the festival to be held between August 30 and September 4. Information houses affiliated with the Youth and Sports Service will be present at TEKNOFEST for the first time this year.

4 TEAMS FOR TekNOFEST

Bilgi Houses formed 4 teams this year for TEKNOFEST, the first and only festival that aims to develop Turkey’s national technologies. Emirler team (elementary school), Experts team (elementary school) and Football stars team (elementary/high school), including students who have completed robot coding training in the Information House and participated in national competitions, will appear in the technology social innovation category for the benefit of humanity, and the Guide team (high school) will appear in the smart transportation category.

4 PROJECTS IN 2 CATEGORIES

In this context, the students in the project class, including talented students who were successful as a result of robot coding training in Information Houses, brainstormed about social innovation issues aimed at facilitating the environment, nature and human life by following current technology under the guidance of computer science teachers, and the ideas that were decided to be applicable were translated into a project. In this context Emirler team (primary school): Auto-closing refrigerator door project, Experts team (primary school): Smart energy project, Guide team (secondary school): Secure Track and Football stars team (secondary school/primary school): Projects football referees . The study of electronic circuit design of the project continues with the students in the computer science class.
