Android Auto is the most popular customization layer out there being able to control the smartphone from the dashboard of the car. We talked about version 7.5 just a few weeks ago, but now there is a beta version of version 7.6 with various improvements.

Goodbye USB problems

Android Auto needs to be permanently connected to the vehicle via a USB cable on the vast majority of devices. In previous versions, Google included a tool to determine if a particular cable was preventing that interface from working properly.

Now, despite including this tool, Android Auto still seems to be a pretty great interface with cables, it doesn’t work properly with all of them. Now the USB related bugs seem to be mitigated.

As we said, this latest functionality is included in version 7.6 It is currently in beta and has a few weeks to hit the Google Play Store. Now, the fact that it is not in the Google Play Store does not mean that you cannot enjoy it, because you can download it in APK format without any problems.
