Having lots of storage is key todayas cameras deliver better results every time and as a result, both photos and videos are gaining more and more weight. At a time when Google Photos no longer offers the possibility to save all of our photos unlimited and for free, local storage has become a very interesting option.
Today they are practically not found. Former, the vast majority of mobile phones had the ability to add storage to the device simply. The main issue with these cards is the transfer speed as this makes the speed much slower when using files.
There are many technologies today that make memories much faster than before. With the arrival of UFS 3.0 memories and currently 3.1 on many devices, speed has increased and the price of this type of device has decreased.
Beyond the processor or the photo part, devices’ internal storage was also a limitationAs the vast majority of manufacturers limit 256GB of storage on mid-range devices.
The truth is, it’s more than enough for the vast majority of users, and there was no way to get a larger-capacity device for that price. Actually, larger capacities were accompanied by more RAM.
Now, it looks like Xiaomi will offer us more storage in the mid-range, starting with a new version on the Redmi K50. 512GB storageyes, only 8GB of RAM according to a well known leaker.
This version is also available on the Redmi K50 Pro, but with 12 GB of RAM.. Now it remains to be seen whether this change is made only in this particular model or, on the contrary, represents a significant change in future devices.
