Elon Musk deleted the page following his flight and is now suing the owner

As reported by Channel 24, the student, who was 19 at the time, opened several Twitter accounts, where an automated bot posted information about the location of the planes of Musk, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and many other wealthy people. 14 people in total. The head of Tesla, SpaceX and now Twitter didn’t like it. He described it as a “direct threat to his personal safety” and tried to redeem himself by paying for his privacy. The story then ended with almost nothing: After a brief correspondence, Musk added the program’s developer, Jack Sweeney, to his personal “black list.” But now that he owns the social network, he has gained a little more power.

What’s going on

First of all, it is worth noting that Musk I promised before do not apply any restrictions to the page @ElonJet. However, he did the opposite. Other accounts managed by Jack Sweeney have also been blocked, as The Verge wrote.

Even before blocking, the developer left a tweet on his page where he stated: Twitter “quietly restricted access” to aircraft tracker. This is not a normal ban, but a “shadow” ban, where the page disappears from search, recommendations and feed, but retains the ability to publish posts. In support, Sweeney posted a screenshot of the Twitter team’s alleged business correspondence on Slack:

It’s unclear how Sweeney obtained the screenshot, but the Trust and Security head’s Ella Irwin asks her team to immediately apply “heavy visibility filtering” to the page. Following these actions, the @ElonJet account became harder to find in search or social networking recommendations.

another week has passed account completely banned. At the same time, Sweeney received a standard letter about account termination. It is not explained why the permanent ban was enacted, but such actions clearly contradict Elon Musk’s statements about “freedom of speech”.

Elon Musk is suing

Finally a billionaire mentioned in new postWhat Will sue Jack Sweeney.

Musk explained his sudden change of mind by the fact that his family was allegedly being watched. For example, it posted a video, showing an unknown man in a mask. According to the new head of the social network, a “crazy stalker” was following his son’s car, thinking Musk himself was in it. He then “locked the car and climbed onto the hood.”

Lawsuits have been filed against organizations that support harming Sweeney and my family.
– says the tweet.

Musk said that any account that tracks and posts anyone’s real-time location will be suspended for being a physical security breach. This also applies to posting links to sites with real-time location information.

At the same time, publishing location-related information “with a slight delay” is not a security issue, so it does not violate Twitter rules.

It’s unclear at this time what the requirements will be for Jack Sweeney.
