An international group of scientists has developed the world’s first metal learning-based technology that allows you to type text without a keyboard.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by The Korea Herald.
Metal learning is a subfield of machine learning (artificial intelligence) where machine learning algorithms are applied to metadata related to machine learning experiments.
The researchers said they sprayed an electrically sensitive liquid on the skin to automatically print an electrically sensitive nanometer grid that stretches from the forearm to the back of the hand.
The grid triggered electrical signals when the movement of the hand caused the grid to stretch or contract. These electrical signals were received by a Bluetooth module attached to the end of the mesh on the forearm.
In turn, the collected information was transmitted wirelessly to a computer.
The researchers then let the computer’s artificial intelligence learn different hand gestures.
Having figured out how hands and fingers move when a person uses the keyboard to type certain words after spraying on “smart skin,” researchers are said to be able to type on a computer with only hand gestures and no keyboard.
According to the researchers, the new technology made it possible to draw an object on the screen by touching it with the hands that were sprayed with this special spray.
As reported by Ukrinform, scientists from the University of Science and Technology are named after him. In Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah has developed a technology that allows solar-powered wireless internet to be transmitted through special glass.
