Tesla CEO Elon Musk became the first person in history to lose $200 billion.

This was reported by Bloomberg, Ukrinform reports.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk’s fortune has slumped to $137 billion after Tesla shares have slumped in recent weeks.

The publication recalls that in January 2021, Musk became the second person in history, his personal capital exceeded $ 200 billion, and his fortune reached the highest indicator of $ 340 billion in November 2021.

Since then, Musk has remained the world’s richest man until he was surpassed this month by French businessman Bernard Arnault, owner of luxury goods company LVMH.

The publication states that in October 2021, Tesla’s market cap exceeded $1 trillion for the first time. That said, Tesla’s share price has been very steep this year – up 65% over the year. Also, Musk sold some shares to cover his Twitter buyout, and they are no longer his biggest asset. Musk’s stake in Space Exploration Technologies Corp., owned by him, is $44.8 billion. According to a recent filing, Musk currently owns 42.2% of SpaceX.

As reported by Ukrinform, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the company will not sell its shares in the next two years.
