Every practical driver, choosing a new car for himself, thinks about the future – how he will maintain it, maintain it and resell it in a few years. And it’s good that a lot of research is being done into the so-called residual value of the car. The AvtoVzglyad portal introduces the results of the following, which related exclusively to domestic models.

In 2022, used cars, both products of the Russian automotive industry and foreign cars, have become more than 30% more expensive. The reason for this is the increase in employment and thus the shortage of supply. However, there is of course a difference in the residual value. So which domestic cars topped the latest rating?

According to the results of the study of the bureau “AUTOSTAT”, the leader in terms of preserving the residual value is the three-door LADA Niva Legend – the one that was previously called LADA 4×4. Three years after purchase, an SUV with a 1.7-liter engine has an index of 133.9%.

An honorable second place went to the UAZ “Hunter”, which is equipped with a 2.7-liter engine: the result is 131.5%. As for third place, it was taken by another UAZ – “Patriot”. The residual value is 127.3%.
