Lenovo she announced ThinkCentre M60Q Chromebox, a compact computer that, as its name suggests, uses ChromeOS as its operating system. At the hardware level, it supports Intel Alder Lake processors, up to 32 GB of RAM and storage via eMMC or SSD.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M60Q Chromebox is a device that was introduced a long time ago, but its hardware specifications were not known until recently. The operating system was already intuitive.

Unlike Chromebooks, the most common device format for ChromeOS, which consists of laptops of various lines and architectures (they exist or at least were ARM), the Chromebox ThinkCentre M60Q is a compact desktop computer. For starters, it’s a basic sa computer Intel Celeron 7305 as processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz and 64GB for data storage in eMMC 5.1 format at a price of 299 euros, but it can be modified to become a mid-range device capable of performing certain demanding tasks.

Alternatively, the buyer can choose an Intel Core i3-1215U or Core i5-1235U. The Celeron and Core i3 use integrated UHD graphics, while the Core i5 implements the Iris Xe accelerator. The RAM is expandable up to 32GB DRR4 at 3200MHz and for data storage there are eMMC 5.1, PCIe 4.0 via M.2 slot and PCIe 4 options in the same design.

In terms of connectivity, Lenovo ThinkCentre M60Q Chromebox has one HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one RJ45 connector for Gigabit Ethernet via Realtek RTL8111K-CG, 3.5mm audio jack and Intel AX211 Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 5.1. The dimensions are 182 x 178 x 34 millimeters and the weight is 1.07 kilograms.

Other features include a Flex IO area that can be configured to provide a second DisplayPort or HDMI port and, according to Lenovo, a PC can support up to four 4K displays using a USB Type-C port, two integrated display outputs and a Flex IO port. There is also a Google H1 security chip and a power supply that can be 65 or 90 watts.
