The PolyITAN-HP-30 nano-satellite, created in the USA for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence on January 3, will be launched into Earth orbit by KPI specialists bearing his name. Igor Sikorsky.

“PolyITAN-HP-30 nanosatellite was created by scientists of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” with budgetary funds provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture only within the framework of the implementation of the winning projects of the relevant scientific research and development competitions and basic financing agreement”, – says messages
It was noted that the launch will be carried out using the Falcon-9 launch vehicle belonging to SpaceX company from Cape Canaveral in the USA. After launching into the planned orbit, the nanosatellite will provide for the implementation of a scientific experiment to study the effectiveness of the functioning of heat pipes of various designs as the main element of the thermal stabilization systems of the spacecraft.
The Ministry of Education and Culture reported that the satellite was delivered to the USA thanks to the sponsorship of Boeing Ukraine. At the same time, a subsidiary of the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands took over the financing and technical support of the spacecraft launch. The Ukrainian State Space Agency also participated, helping to solve logistics and export problems.

As reported, a Falcon 9 rocket with the Ukrainian Sich-2-30 optical satellite was launched from the Cape Canaveral spaceport in January 2022.
