Compared to last year, the number of cyberattacks in Ukraine has tripled. This was announced during a briefing by Yuri Shchigol, head of the State Special Communications and Information Protection Service.
“The number of cyber attacks has tripled compared to last year. Recently, their quality has decreased because the enemy cannot do the training that he did before. The enemy does not have the opportunity to spend time on this, because he mostly spends time on his defense, because, as it turned out, their systems are also vulnerable, “Shchigol said.
According to him, the most attacked are public officials, media resources, energy and logistics.
“It is worth noting that cyberattacks not only affect the state and infrastructure, but also affect every citizen. We are now seeing an increase in spam and attempts to collect information about citizens,” added Shchigol.
He also noted that citizens should use simple cyber hygiene rules: use strong passwords, change them regularly, and do not open suspicious messages and links.
