Speaking at a press conference, the businessman assured investors that eventually “the production of the Optimus will cost more than the automotive business, FSD – Full Self-Driving.”

Musk expressed his surprise that people had not yet realized the full scale of Tesla’s robot program. According to him, these studies will be needed in the coming years.

But TechCrunch experts covering Mask’s press conference questioned the company’s capabilities and criticized the entrepreneur’s optimism.

“We’re not saying it’s nonsense, but the idea that Tesla could bring such a robot to market in the near future seems pretty unrealistic,” TechCrunch said.
