That is, buyers purchasing an electric car from the company will not receive a charger for free, but will be forced to buy the device separately.

The Level 1 charger model plugs into a standard 120V outlet and can add 2-3 miles of capacity per hour of connection. wasted in vain
In response to the news, Musk took to Twitter to clarify the news. Tesla’s CEO confirmed the removal of the free kit from cars and said the best solution for customers looking to charge their cars at home would be to use a Level 2 charger that runs on 240V, allowing ten times the charging speed.
“Usage stats were very low, so it felt like a waste. On a positive note, we will be including more plug adapters in our mobile jack kit.”Musk noted.
The CEO adds: “Based on the feedback received, we will reduce the price of the Mobile Connector to $200 and simplify the order with the car. Please note that the Mobile Connector is not required if you have a Tesla wall connector or are using superchargers. We recommend installing the Tesla Wall Connector well in advance of the vehicle’s arrival.”
