For the first time in its 118-year history, British luxury automaker Rolls-Royce Motor Cars exceeded the annual sales volume of more than 6,000 cars.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Bloomberg.
According to the company, 6,021 cars were delivered to customers last year, 8% more than in 2021.
Rolls-Royce added that demand for all luxury models is “extremely strong”.
Torsten Müller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, described 2022 as a “significant” year for the UK’s Goodwood-based company.
“However, as a true luxury home, sales are not the only criterion for success: We are not and never will be a mass car manufacturer,” he said.
It was recorded that in 2022, more than 150 new jobs were created at the company’s headquarters, and thus the total number of employees of the enterprise reached 2,500 people.
As Ukrinform reports, in October British brand Rolls-Royce introduced the all-electric two-door Specter coupe, the first electric car for the company.
