Billionaire Elon Musk, head of SpaceX and Tesla, living in the USA, entered the Guinness Book of Records for breaking the world record for lost personal money. This was reported by Business Insider with reference to the organization’s press release.
“Elon Musk (South Africa) officially breaks world record for largest loss of personal wealth in history”, – says the statement of the Guinness Book of Records. It based its founding decision on Forbes data showing that Musk’s personal capital had dropped by $183 billion in just one year.
Before Musk, the previous record holder was Japanese entrepreneur, Softbank founder and CEO Masaeshi Son. He lost $58.6 billion from his personal fortune in 2000.
“And don’t worry – even though Musk has lost more money than anyone else in history, he’s not going to go hungry anytime soon. He’s still the second richest man in the world.”— Added to the Guinness Book of Records.
