This new functionality consists of something quite similar to what Google offers us with Material You, namely, lSystem icons automatically adapt to the color the user defines in the configuration and the app’s logo will be white or black depending on the wallpaper we have chosen and you don’t need to set anything.

Apparently, as we can read through Xiaomiui, the only essential requirement for us to enjoy this functionality is that our phones have the latest version of MIUI 14 based on Android 13 installed. Sorry if we update our equipment but its ROM is based on Android 12, we will not be able to enjoy this feature.


To be able to use them in your daily life, you will only have to wait for the OTA update of your device or manually install the ROMs that Xiaomi.EU offers us for some devices for a few weeks; they also natively include this functionality directly inherited from MIUI China ROMs.

As you can see in the pictures, this setting will allow us to have a much smoother desktop and icon configuration. automatically adapts to the wallpaper and color previously selected from the system settings. The problem, of course, is that not all apps are compatible with this configuration, and it’s not the most aesthetically pleasing thing in the world.

Actually, you see that the ones that haven’t been adapted yet are mainly native MIUI apps, but We understand that they will be updated as the updates pass. to maintain a much neater aesthetic throughout the system.
