On the basis of the national technical university “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky” together with the CLUST company, the Smart Shelter – CLUST Space project to create innovative shelters is implemented.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reported this.
It is stated that the aim of the project is to reorganize existing shelters and transform them into safe, innovative education centers that will work permanently and bring creative youth together in times of both danger and peace.
The mission of the project is not only to support the process of continuing education in Ukraine under martial law, but also to implement innovative and comfortable security solutions that will become the basis for the post-war recovery of the state.
According to the Ministry of Education, the first Smart Shelter CLUST SPACE will appear in the building of the central library of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after I. Sikorsky.
During this time, a working group was formed, which included CLUST staff, students and management staff of I. Sikorsky KPI, and representatives of government agencies.
The project team is looking for partners to spread it all over Ukraine and open 10-20 more innovative shelters in universities.
As reported by Ukrinform, in 2023 it is planned to start building a wide network of modern shelters within walking distance for citizens in Ukraine.
