Samsung announced the launch Odyssey Neo G7its first monitor for the sector playing games based on the booming MiniLED technology, which the South Korean company is already integrating into several of its smart TV models, including the largest ones, as seen at CES 2023.
That’s where the shots are headed with the new Odyssey Neo G7 monitor 43 inches designed to deliver a great experience, focused on making the most of playing next-generation content. Other features of this Matte Display panel include 4K resolution with VESA Display HDR 600, HDR 10+ certification, 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
The Odyssey Neo G7 also benefits from Samsung Quantum Matrix and Mini LED Quantum technologies, with which together it offers excellent image quality, in which the high contrast achieved by this technology stands out, close to OLED in black levels, but with better performance in bright environments and with good scratch resistance on the screen.
“The gaming monitor market is only going to grow, and gamers are now looking for more from their monitors,” said Hoon Chung, executive vice president of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We’re not just delivering a better gaming experience – we’re rebuilding smart new capabilities on our screens that offer gamers a place for technology and entertainment all in one.”
Other core features of the Odyssey Neo G7 include DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, as well as support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology, which helps reduce input latency and tearing and stutter on the screen “even in moments of the greatest load on the screen.”
With a price yet to be determined, the Odyssey Neo will be the G7 available worldwide from the first quarter of 2023, with different release dates depending on the region. More information on the product page.
