“Ukraine is actively cooperating with the European Union in the roaming sector. It is now extremely important for our country to enter the EU roaming area. After all, millions of Ukrainians temporarily went to various European countries and they need to stay in touch with their relatives. For our part, we are taking important steps in this direction,” he said. .
It was noted that the European side confirmed its readiness to ratify the updated Annex 17-3 (rules applying to telecommunications services) to the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. This is another step towards permanent free movement (roam around like at home) with the EU.
“One of the priorities of the Digital Ministry is the launch of 5G technology and joining the EU’s 5G transport corridors. The EU noted and called for it to continue its work in transforming Ukraine’s telecom sector in line with European regulations.”
