At first there was talk of a generic version of the chatbot, but recently we learned that the plans are more ambitious (and, I must add, more reasonable) as Microsoft and OpenAI are working on a special version of it based on the future GPT 4, a much broader model in terms of resources , from which it was powered, and also much faster at generating responses.

This plays a key role. The fact that the reactions are written sequentially may seem like a deliberate effect, but it’s actually related to the way these generative AIs work, to which we must of course add the heavy usage that the OpenAI servers are sent to. This has its advantages in a conversation with a chatbot, but in the context of searching for information on the Internet, where immediacy plays a key role, it can be a huge handicap.

Microsoft’s plans with ChatGPT appear to be quite advanced to the point that, as Twitter user Owen Yin posted on Medium over the weekend, for a short time and only for some users, Microsoft has enabled access to the version of Microsoft Bing with ChatGPT. This access would already be closed, at least to Yin, but in the short time it was accessible, he could take the opportunity to take a screenshot.
