The giant SpaceX Starship launch vehicle could take off for the first time in March. Elon Musk wrote this on Twitter. More precisely, he stated that such a possibility exists only under certain conditions.
If other tests go well, we will try to launch Starship next month.
Considering this is the first orbital flight, SpaceX may delay the launch several times, as with the company’s other rockets. It will be remembered that in December 2020, Starship made its first test flight at an altitude of more than 10 km, after which SpaceX repeated similar tests. However, it was not a full orbital flight.
Before launch, SpaceX must conduct a major static fire test for all 33 rocket engines. Presumably, the history of orbital flight will primarily depend on the success of this test.
