Apple invents personalized sounds for text messages

The US Patent and Trademark Office has published a patent application from Apple on personalized sounds for text messages. It’s not about sending an audio recording in a text message, it’s about using a new sound simulation system where someone receiving your text message won’t have to read it, but will hear it in the original voice of the sender.

Written communication between electronic device users has become an integral part of society, especially in the context of social media and instant messaging. However, traditional systems do not include customization of message listening, such as personalized audio playback of received messages. These systems also lack the ability for the user to customize how messages are played by different senders. Accordingly, conventional systems are not equipped to generate personalized sounds for text messages based on a small amount of voice input. Accordingly, there is a need for improved systems for personalized sounds.

Traditional methods of transmitting the content of a received message are often ineffective. In particular, traditional systems do not offer customization during the transmission of received messages, such as reading aloud the received message tailored to the recipient of the message. For example, when receiving a message from a person named “John”, the user may want to hear the message in John’s voice, which improves the user experience, eliminating the need for the user to read and increasing the efficiency of the device. received message

A personalized sound system for text messaging is provided to improve messaging technology in accordance with the systems and methods described in the patent. In some instances, multiple language input from the first user is accepted. The voice model is derived from a set of speech inputs. User input is taken from the first user and user input corresponds to a voice model access request. The sound pattern is transmitted to a second electronic device. In some examples, the message is received from the corresponding user of the second electronic device. In response to receiving a message, a voice model of the respective user is received. The sound output corresponding to the received message is provided according to the sound pattern.
