Last week, Samsung reported that pre-orders for the Galaxy S23 had surpassed the success of the previous generation Galaxy S22.. The South Korean company reacted positively to these numbers, given that sales of the S22 were already considered a big hit over the S21.

Samsung’s tactic of equipping the top version seems to have worked.

It’s worth noting that these numbers refer to a pre-order campaign in which Samsung offered a number of exclusive promotions to boost sales of its latest flagships. These results should not be taken as an indication of the overall long-term commercial performance of the Galaxy S23.

Regardless, the fact that the Ultra is the most popular model in the lineup indicates that Samsung’s strategy of concentrating the best features in its most expensive device is working. Thanks to a custom Snapdragon processor, the device is arguably the most powerful on the Android market and will likely hold that position for a while.

As of last week, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 models are available in four nature-inspired matte shades: Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender. They are available through carriers, retailers and Samsung.com. In addition, they will also be available in several exclusive Samsung.com colors such as graphite, lime, sky blue and red.
