It is noteworthy that before this feature was introduced, users listened to music by choosing from existing playlists, radio stations or albums. However, users can now create their own radio stations “from scratch” by choosing up to 30 artists. It will also be possible to choose how often these artists appear and apply filters that will change the “mood” of the station.
Popular music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music offer radio features that allow users to create playlists based on a particular song or artist, but do not offer additional features. YouTube Music said that the new feature will offer users much more options than its competitors.
