On February 23, the Verkhovna Rada generally adopted the draft law on the ratification of the Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on participation in the program “Digital Europe” (2021 – 2027).

The document establishes the prerequisites for Ukraine’s participation in the EU Programme, which provides additional incentives and opportunities for the digital transformation of priority industries and public life, the development of the digital economy, IT business, artificial intelligence and the upliftment of citizens. digital skills.
Participation in the program will contribute to Ukraine’s accession to the EU Single Digital Market by achieving an internal market regime with the EU in the field of electronic communications services and gradually integrating into the European Union Single Digital Market.
As reported, “Digital Europe” is an EU financial support program (€7.5 billion for 7 years), funding projects in five areas: supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital skills, provision of digital technologies economy and society.
