Apple has been fined 906 million rubles (about 11.5 million euros) in Russia for abusing a dominant position in the market. This was announced by the Russian competition authority this week.
Apple was fined in April 2021 for requiring app developers to use the iPhone maker’s own payment system. The American company previously said it “respectfully” disagreed with the allegation of alleged competitive advantage. It first appealed and then appealed in cassation, but both applications were dismissed.
