Astronauts of the Shenzhou-15 manned spacecraft aboard China’s Tiangong space station recently completed extravehicular activities as part of their second spacewalk. This was reported by the China Manned
This was reported by the China Manned Cosmonautics Program Office (CMSA), Ukrinform reported, citing Xinhua.
Fei Junlong and Zhang Lu are said to have jointly completed all the missions assigned to them, along with Deng Qingming, who was inside the space station and supported their teammates’ work in space. Later, Fei Junlong and Zhang Lu returned to the Wentian Lab Module.
The spacecraft’s crew of three astronauts have been in orbit for three months since they entered the Chinese space station campus on November 30, 2022.
During this time, astronauts completed several missions, including two spacewalks, ongoing maintenance of the manned environment, assembling and testing cabinets for scientific experiments in the Wenyan and Mentian laboratory modules, and shipping cargo outside the space station.
As reported by Ukrinform, Shenzhou-15 taikonauts made their first spacewalk in early February.
