The China National Space Administration (CNSA) has announced that the Chinese government plans to launch a new interplanetary mission to a small near-Earth asteroid.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Xinhua.
According to the CNSA’s plan, during the mission, China’s Tianwen-2 probe will take samples from the asteroid 2016 HO3, return to Earth, and then travel to comet 311P.
It was noted that “Tianwen-2” will be the second among Chinese probes in the “Tianwen” series. Consisting of an orbital module, a lander, and a rover, Tianwen-1 was launched on July 23, 2020, and entered Mars orbit on February 10, 2021.

In the past two years, the Chinese probe “Tianwen-1” has transmitted a lot of data to Earth, which has contributed to many discoveries in interplanetary research.
It will continue to carry out multidimensional research missions related to the Red Planet.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Chinese space mission’s Tianwen-1 orbiter has sent new photos of all of Mars back to Earth after flying over the Red Planet more than 1,300 times since the beginning of last year.
