The Ministry of Digital Transformation uses modern encryption technologies for the protection of personal data and adheres to all international standards, so the data of Diya users cannot reach third parties.
Mstislav Banik, head of the development of electronic services at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“We always emphasize that we do not collect personal data of users. This is our priority. Action is a gateway through which a person is authorized in an application. Once the user is identified, the application sends a request to the registry to receive documents – driver’s licenses, ID cards, COVID-19 certificates, etc. “All data is stored on users’ devices and associated records, but not on Diya’s servers.”
Banik emphasized that the ministry takes the protection of personal data seriously, therefore only modern encryption technologies are used and all legal norms and international standards are complied with for their protection.
For this reason, the data of Diya users cannot be passed into the hands of third parties in any way.”
According to him, various levels of protection have been developed. “For example, if you enter the wrong access code, all data on the device will be automatically deleted. This is necessary to protect users from scammers. We also have built-in security systems that allow you to check the authenticity of the application and the absence of so-called root rights on the device. This helps prevent possible attacks from attackers And that’s only part of the protection tools,” stressed the representative of the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
