Last Monday (6) Google revealed the company’s priorities in developing applications for Android cell phones. In an official blog post, Senior Director of Product Management and Android Application Security Beter Otuteye said the company wants to provide more support to the creators of these programs.

The company said it is constantly improving its communication, support and experience policies. A new Play Console feature was recently introduced that gives developers more flexibility and control over the app review process. More features and support for developers are planned for this year.

In February, the company opened up the Google Play Developer Community to all English-speaking developers, allowing them to seek advice and share best practices with other experienced developers. The initiative has received positive feedback, and the company is encouraging developers to sign up as a product expert.

In addition, the company is expanding its pilot programs, including the Google Play Developer Support Pilot, which provides direct telephone support for policy-related issues. The program has expanded to nearly 60,000 developers in 26 countries, up from 16,000 developers in nine countries since last November.

“We’ve also sent more notifications and reminders of upcoming requirements to the developer console inbox so we can reach you when you’re thinking about updating your app. This year, we’re also building a new feature to help you plan ahead for applications,” said Beter Otutay.

Investing in better security for Android developers and users

The company is committed to ensuring the security of Android and Google Play so that developers can create quality apps and games for billions of users around the world. The company indicated that it has been able to share a number of tools with users in recent years, but wants to expand this distribution by creating new applications.

Beter Otutey said he heard a request from developers who asked for help in improving the level of protection of business, users and IP. With this in mind, Google emphasized that it has improved a number of related services and will continue to update them to provide even more security for users and developers.

“We continue to improve the Play Integrity API and automatic integrity protection to help you detect and prevent risks and strengthen your anti-abuse strategy.
