electric vehicle company Tesla filed a lawsuit in San Francisco, California, USA, on charges of monopolizing the maintenance and repair of their cars.

“Historically, consumers of traditional combustion engine vehicles have had multiple options for servicing and repairing their vehicles after purchase. They could do it themselves contact your dealer or an independent repair shop“, denounces Virgina Lambricks, who is leading a class action lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges that Tesla’s monopoly policy on repair and parts manufacturing services has resulted in owners of these e-vehicles “suffer long delays in repairs or maintenance of their cars” and “pay more money for parts and repairs after they are finally delivered.”

Lambrix, who believes that Tesla maintains “an illegal monopoly on repair services and parts compatible with its vehicles.” asks the court to deprive him of his privileged position in the market.
