A little less than an hour after launch, two radar imaging satellites for San Francisco-based Capella Space were placed in a circular orbit about 600 kilometers above Earth.
They join Capella Space’s SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) group, which provides customers with detailed day and night images of the Earth in all weather conditions.
To date, Rocket Lab has launched 34 orbital missions with its two-stage Electron rocket.
As reported by Ukrinform, the company’s pre-launch took place on January 24. Rocket Lab then launched three American dual-purpose satellites for the HawkEye 360.
