Russians began to actively lease Chinese cars

According to the results of the last winter month of 2023, Russian motorists, along with LADA products, were actively leasing products from Chinese manufacturers. Among them: models Haval, Chery, Geely and Exeed.

As the representatives of the company Gazprombank Autoleasing told the AvtoVzglyad portal, the mentioned brands “gnawed” in total almost 68% of the total sales of new leased cars. And at the end of 2022, the share of these brands in the company’s business was just under 50%! Moreover, cars are purchased by both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Probably, the reason for this is affordable price tags and the presence of “live” cars in dealerships. It is noteworthy that the “Chinese” drove out of the TOP-5 the Korean brand Kia, which remained practically the only one of the other foreign brands that was somehow present on the market.

Chery became the leader in leasing sales with a 14% share of total sales. The second place in popularity went to Geely with a figure of 10.9%, the third – Haval (10.2%), and the fourth – the premium brand Exeed (8.5%), which called itself a premium.

Recall that a year earlier, the lease agreement was signed most often by enthusiasts of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Volkswagen.
