A HMD Global announced the launch in India of its new nokia s12 pro smartphone. With Android 12 Go, the device is an affordable option for those looking for a simple smartphone and has smartphone-like specs. Nokia C12 released in January this yearbut the Pro model has a slightly larger battery.

Like the Nokia C12, the Nokia C12 Pro has 6.3 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600×720 or HD+. The device is equipped with an octa-core Unisoc processor, 2 GB/3 GB random access memory, 64 GB capacity of internal memory and battery 4000 mAh. In comparison, the Nokia C12 battery 3000 mAh.

The new HMD Global smartphone supports memory expansion technology that allows users to receive plus 2 GB of virtual memory using part of the internal memory, which was also supported in Nokia C12.

Specific details on Nokia C12 Pro connectivity have yet to be released, but the original Nokia C12 does support networks. 4G LTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 4, Bluetooth 5.2, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB port. In terms of other features, the new smartphone has IP52 certification for dust and water resistance, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and more.

As mentioned at the beginning of this post, the Nokia C12 Pro comes with Android 12 Go installed. HMD Global promises two years of security updates for the device.

HMD Global has confirmed that the Nokia C12 Pro smartphone is available in India in Dark Cyan, Light Mint and Charcoal colors at MSRP 6999 rupees ($84 or R$443) for 2GB RAM model and Rs 7,499 ($90 or R$475) for 3GB RAM model. The device can be found in the company’s own online store and authorized resellers.
