Duolingo adds ChatGPT to the platform to improve teaching…

Product originally arrives in the United States

The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based tech start-up already has a small team working on the project and is looking for a music education scholar who has both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.

According to the job posting, Duolingo’s music app will teach basic music theory using popular songs and instructors.

Known for its holistic approach to learning, the company is expanding into the world of music, which, like learning a language, requires knowledge of basic concepts.

The new Duolingo project has been under development in secret, and it remains to be seen if the app will help people read music, write music, learn to play an instrument, or do it all together. However, it is possible that the application will help democratize access to music education, which is often beyond the reach of most people.

Duolingo is constantly looking for expansion

Duolingo was founded in 2011 by Luis von Ahn and Severin Hacker with the goal of making language learning more accessible and fun. Since then, the company has grown steadily, expanding beyond language learning.

One example is the Duolingo English Test, which started as a hackathon project in 2014 and is now an online language certification exam that represents a significant potential source of income for the company. Additionally, during the pandemic, the company launched Duolingo ABC, a free app focused on learning English for kids ages 3 to 6.

Recently, in October 2022, the company announced its first math app, Duolingo Math. The app is free and takes the same approach as learning a language, requiring methodical thinking and the ability to apply features to get answers. Through this expansion of the subject, the company aims to further diversify its activities in the online education and training market, strengthening its position as one of the main reference points in the sector.
