PLAYSTATION PLUS EXTRA

• Benefits:
  • Includes all the benefits of the Essential level.
  • Add a catalog of up to 400 top titles for PS4 and PS5, including blockbusters from our PlayStation Studios catalog and third-party development partners. In the extra level, there are games to download.
• Prices:
  • Europe
    • EUR 13.99 per month / EUR 39.99 per quarter / EUR 99.99 per year

PLAYSTATION PLUS PREMIUM

• Benefits:
  • Includes all the benefits of the Essential and Extra levels.
  • Add up to 340 more games, including:
    • PS3 titles available via cloud streaming.
    • A catalog of favorite classics that can be streamed and downloaded from the original PlayStation, PS2 and PSP.
  • Cloud streaming of original games for PlayStation, PS2, PSP and PS4 is offered in Extra and Premium levels in markets where PlayStation Now is currently available. Users can stream games from PS4 and PS5 consoles or PC.
  • This level also includes access to time-limited trial games, so players can try out some games before purchasing.
• Prices:
  • Europe
    • EUR 16.99 per month / EUR 49.99 per quarter / EUR 119.99 per year

As we told you then, The PlayStation Now subscription will be transferred to the new servicewhich now integrates what Plus and Now offers. And there has been a picaresque in recent weeks, as many users have found that by renewing their PlayStation Now subscription, they can enjoy a premium subscription that costs € 120 a year, with an annual renewal of PlayStation Now, which costs € 60 a year. So a saving of 50%.

But the catch is that some players have found that if they buy PlayStation Now annual renewal cards and redeem them in their account, these resets have been addedso, for example, five cards with a total amount of 300 euros will be reflected in a five-year PlayStation Plus Premium subscription, which would have a real price of 600 euros at the rates announced for the new service.

However, and as expected, Sony has already realized the trap and has blocked the possibility of buying new renewal cards from PlayStation Now. It has done so temporarily, so users who have them will not lose them, but have announced that an exchange rate will be set, so we can imagine that their real economic value will be that exchanged on PlayStation Plus.

And what happens to users who have already used multiple extensions? Well, to our surprise, these renewals will continue, as we can read in the FAQ service. Here are the two most important questions about it:

Q: I am a current member of PlayStation Plus and / or PlayStation Now. Why do I get an error message when I try to add time to my membership, either by purchasing more time in the PlayStation Store on the console / website / app or by applying for a membership voucher?

AND: As we prepare to launch the new PlayStation Plus membership service, we work behind the scenes to make the transition as smooth as possible for all our existing members. As part of this work, we have temporarily disabled stacking memberships for existing customers until after the launch. Please be assured that your voucher code is still valid and you will be able to redeem the code either after your current membership expires and is deactivated, or when you start a new PlayStation Plus service in your area, whichever comes first.
