UiPath, a major Robotic Process Automation (RPA) provider, has partnered with Conversational Artificial Intelligence startup Amelia to create a fully integrated digital agent for workflow automation.

By collaborating, companies aim to offer an easier experience for employees who often struggle with the technical side of automated workflows.

UiPath’s RPA platform can help organizations reduce costs and eliminate manual errors from repetitive tasks like data entry. The platform is powered by AI models that learn how humans perform these tasks. These models create software robots that then go through these workflows, eliminating the need to do them manually.

RPA no longer requires technical knowledge

While the benefits of automation are undeniable, it also comes with a downside: to set up these automations, you need some technical knowledge. Thanks to the cooperation with Amelia, UiPath wants to make it easier to set up an automatic workflow.

Employees can use the new digital agent to make inquiries via chat or voice. The digital agent then processes the request and forwards the message to UiPath’s robots. Once the work is done, Amelia returns a collaboration of the solution to the collaborators.

Higher productivity for employees

According to UiPath, the combination with Amelia will increase employee satisfaction through practical solutions for various information technology and administrative tasks. For example, customers can use the tools to troubleshoot applications, reset passwords, make salary changes, and set up VPN access.

The key benefit of the partnership between UiPath and Amelia, according to UiPath, is increased employee productivity and reduced wait times for service counters.

“Employees are undoubtedly the engine of business success, but people are often hampered in their work by repetitive, time-consuming tasks that distract them from their goals,” said Amelia President and Chairman Lanham Napier. “Our joint solution removes barriers to productivity and creativity.”
