As Activision Blizzard himself predicted a few months ago, it seems that for the first time in its nearly 30-year history, Warcraft Franchise will have its first game customized for smartphones and tablets. However, Blizzard surprised us again by now announcing the date of its official performance, p waiting so short that it will hardly take us to next week.

And it’s Warcraft’s first mobile game will be introduced on May 3, 2022 through a freely accessible online presentation on the official Blizzard website, which starts at 19:00 in Spain (peninsula time), with an indefinite duration and the content to be displayed.

At this point, the only information Blizzard shared focused on a few details of how The game was designed from the beginning to be suitable for mobile devices. Something that moves us forward, because it’s not just a port or adaptation of one of the existing games in this franchise, but a brand new title set in space. Although the company is exceptionally addicted to what we can expect from the new mobile game Warcraft.

Even so, the most likely hypotheses seem like a game based on a separate story in the style of a successful Warcraft 3; some kind of spin off focused on World of Warcraft, with a completely different style of play adapted for mobiles; or a total rebirth of a franchise with some as yet untested new IP. And there are those who even joke with the possibility that we will see a battle royale game in Fortnite style.

So even though this is Warcraft’s first mobile episode, it’s not the first time Blizzard has entered mobile territory and has already adapted an Hearthstone card title or the already announced Diablo Immortal.
