Former President Donald Trump has gone to federal court in Manhattan to start a lawsuit on charges related to an alleged payment of money to silence a porn actress.
Hundreds of sympathizers and protesters against the former president gathered on the streets Tuesday around the New York courthouse where the former president was to appear.

Inflammatory Republican legislator Marjorie Taylor Greenwho backed Trump’s false claims that he had won the 2020 election, briefly appeared outside a Manhattan courthouse, where he promised to lead a pro-Trump rally organized by the Youth Republican Club of New York.
“I would like to thank the patriotic Trump supporters who are here today,” Greene said through a bullhorn through the crowd, prompting a burst of applause and chants of “USA!”
In a chaotic scene, she spoke for several minutes and then sped away in a white SUV as some of the protesters booed her and others apparently booed in support.

Trump, 76, will become the first president former President of the United States accused of a crime.
