Inflammatory Republican legislator Marjorie Taylor Greenwho backed Trump’s false claims that he had won the 2020 election, briefly appeared outside a Manhattan courthouse, where he promised to lead a pro-Trump rally organized by the Youth Republican Club of New York.
“I would like to thank the patriotic Trump supporters who are here today,” Greene said through a bullhorn through the crowd, prompting a burst of applause and chants of “USA!”
In a chaotic scene, she spoke for several minutes and then sped away in a white SUV as some of the protesters booed her and others apparently booed in support.

Trump, 76, will become the first president former President of the United States accused of a crime.
