Judge John Merchanappointed in the case against former President Donald Trump (2017-2021) in New York for falsifying business documents, and his family received more than a dozen threats via calls and emails, local media reported.

Most of threats and the slanderous calls, which appear to have come from out of state and are currently under investigation, came within 24 hours of Merchan reading the 34 allegations made by District Attorney of Manhattan against Trump last Tuesday, in which the former president pleaded not guilty.

Upon learning that Merchan would be the judge who would read him the accusations, Trump wrote on his Pravda social network that the magistrate hated him.
