Meanwhile, efforts to find the remaining three employees continue.

Problems at SEN led to power outages that were long and frequent across much of the country for several months last year.

In some parts of the territory, cuts exceeded 12 consecutive hours per day.

The energy crisis is currently giving the country a breather and the Cuban government has said it will reach its peak months of July and August at its best after a series of repairs to various factories and the inclusion of floating factories.

Over the past three years, Cuba has leased eight floating power plants from a Turkish company to increase its generating capacity. (EFE)
