This is a Huawei Mate Xs 2 new folding smartphone from chinese company. The third generation follows the general design of the previous ones, but is elaborated in all its parts and with the new Qualcomm SoC engine.
The screen is a star part of all folding and in this model much more because it has the only panel that encloses the device when folded and after unfolding, it offers the diagonal of the tablet. This type of design eliminates the need for a secondary screen, but always leaves it exposed, so extra care will be required when using it.
Huawei helps promise and improved durability thanks to the polymer cover with a four-layer structure and the new two-rotor hinge mechanism, which improves long-term durability and leaves no visible wrinkles on the screen. Its weight has been reduced from the original 300 grams to 255 grams.
After the layout, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 becomes a tablet with 7.8 “AMOLED displaynative resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels and refresh rate of 120 Hz. Folded in half to hold like a regular cell phone, it offers a diagonal 6.5 inches with a resolution of 2480 x 1176 pixels. In both cases, it is compatible with the Huawei M-Pen 2s stylus for drawing or taking notes.
Huawei opted for the Snapdragon 888 SoC to motorize its new folding device. This is not the most advanced from Qualcomm that can be mounted, but it is an improvement over the previously used Kirin. It is complemented by up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage capacity, which can be expanded with microSD cards.
your camera system contains a triple sensor, with a 50 MP main, another 13 MP wide angle and an 8 MP telephoto lens. Another 10.7 MP front camera is used for selfie. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, offers a USB Type-C port for charging and data, and a 4,880 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. As for mobile data, the SoC version limits them to 4Gwhich can be a problem at the terminal of this price level.

The new folding Huawei uses the Harmony OS operating system and will be sold in white, black and purple finishes. It will be available in China from May 6 and we do not know when it will enter the international market. It will be distributed in two configurations:
- 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage: 9,999 yuan (approx $ 1,512)
- 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage: 12,999 yuan (about $ 1,966)
