The training of trainers was completed in the “Digital My Job” project, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, the Directorate General for Lifelong Learning and Vodafone Turkey Foundation. 53 trainers, 86 new trainers and 84 institution administrators participated in the online training courses from the previous year. Detailed information on digital literacy and digital marketing was provided to the participants.

“As the General Directorate for Lifelong Learning, we carry out many projects together with our stakeholders to develop our interns socially, culturally and professionally and, depending on this development, to bring them to a deployable level. One of these is the ‘Digital My Job’ project, a successful example of public and private sector collaboration, which we implemented in partnership with Vodafone Turkey Foundation to contribute to the development of the digital skills of female trainees studying at public education centers affiliated with the General Directorate for Lifelong Learning. As part of the project, we taught our female trainees basic computer literacy skills with our digital literacy training, and contributed to their professional development in the digital field with our digital marketing training. Despite all the negative effects of the pandemic period, there was intense interest in the project and as a result of this interest we reached more than 5 thousand women. In the second year of the project, I believe we will achieve greater success with the dedicated efforts of our valuable trainers, and I hope the new term will be good for all of us.”

“As Vodafone Turkey Foundation, we believe that everything we do should serve a purpose. From our goal-oriented vision we designed the ‘Digital My Job’ project. We have carried out a project that will contribute to the digitization of society as well as to the development of women. With this project, we want to improve women’s digital competences and ensure their inclusion in economic and social life. Last year we reached a total of more than 5 thousand women with the project, which we implemented step-by-step in 13 provinces. We employ 63 female interns who have graduated from Vodafone Customer Services training courses. In the new period of our project, we have expanded the number of provinces from 13 to 20. We have set our new target to reach 12 thousand women in 2 years. Of course we can achieve this goal with the contribution and support of our valuable trainers. That is why we attach great importance to the training of trainers. In these training courses, we provide our trainee candidates with comprehensive information about digital literacy and digital marketing. I wish all our new interns every success in advance.”

Trainer training sessions started on March 31

The first of the trainer training courses given as part of the project was given on 31 March with the existing Digital Literacy trainers and on 1 April with the current Digital Marketing trainers. With new trainers, the Digital Literacy training courses were given on April 13 and Digital Marketing training courses on April 14. In addition, an information meeting was held on 11 April for the managers of the public education centers where the training courses are provided.

Training for 12 thousand women in 20 provinces

With the “Digital My Job” project, it aims to make the digitization potential of women visible through various training programmes. As part of the project, 24-hour Digital Literacy and 40-hour Digital Marketing training courses are given to female trainees. In the first year of the project, which entered its second year, more than 5 thousand female trainees were trained by 140 trainers in 13 provinces. While 5 million TL of social value was obtained in this process, each investment of 1 TL for the project yielded a social return of 5 TL. The aim of the project is to train a total of 12 thousand female trainees in 20 provinces in 2 years.
