Twenty-one days after the end of Section 42 – May 11 – when the health emergency related to Covid-19 ended, the United States government, through the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), issued a warning to Venezuelan citizens who are trying to enter into this country illegally, they will be punished in different ways.
Through social media, the CBP made various posts aimed at these people, in which it insisted that they could be permanently banned from entering this country if they diverted the authorization processes.
“WARNING: Eligible Venezuelan citizens must go through the procedure for applying for permission to enter the United States. If they enter the United States illegally, they will not be considered for parole and will be denied entry.”
T42, as this migratory sanitary measure introduced during Donald Trump’s administration is known, argued that automatic deportation was necessary to protect its southern border from infection with the Covid-19 virus.
However, before the announcement of the end of the pandemic and the conclusion of this title, 42 the United States will take other measures to stop the migration flow.
In particular, the publications were targeted at people from Venezuela, a country with which the United States maintains a political and economic confrontation.

“WARNING: Eligible Venezuelan citizens must complete an online process to request pre-clearance to enter the US. Those who attempt to enter the US illegally will not be considered for parole as part of this process and will generally be denied entry.”
However, the provisions will be general for undocumented migrants, and if they insist on entering without a permit, they will be subject to a five-year ban on setting foot in the US.
“WARNING: Persons attempting to enter the U.S. without permission have no legal basis for stay and cannot be removed under Section 42. They are subject to expedited removal to their country of origin and a five-year ban on re-entry.
With these measures, despite the fact that repeal of Section 42 could mean an end to automatic deportations, the Joe Biden government will look for other measures to authorize the flow of people into their country without documents and immigration permits, which, among other things, ask people for financial guarantees in that country to assess the possibility of their entry.
